About Roadhogs...
Roadhogs was established in 2000 and has been running ever since. The initial intention was to produce a website that was a fun way to name and shame bad drivers, but over the years, the site has become a very well known way to bring awareness to a huge problem we have on our roads. South Africans are very short-tempered generally, and have a great deal of stress to live with on a daily basis. The commute to work and back takes it's toll and drivers often take out their frustrations on the road. They speed, they are ignorant of other drivers and pedestrians, they do not obey the rules of the road, and continually use mobile phones while driving - all of this contributes to a lot of carnage and death on our roads.
In South Africa, the daily commute can be a source of immense stress for many. From aggressive driving to blatant disregard for traffic laws, the behavior of some motorists poses a significant risk to everyone on the road. We understand the frustration that comes with encountering such behavior, which is why we offer a safe and anonymous space for individuals to report incidents and share their experiences. While most drivers adhere to road etiquette and safety guidelines, the actions of a few can have a disproportionate impact on others. This discrepancy in behavior often leads to heightened tension and, in some cases, dangerous confrontations. By providing a platform to report incidents and document irresponsible driving, Roadhogs aims to empower individuals to take a stand against reckless behavior while promoting a culture of accountability on our roads.
Why let road rage simmer behind the wheel when you can channel your frustrations constructively? With Roadhogs, you can report bad drivers anonymously and free of charge from the comfort of your home or office. Whether you choose to capture photographic evidence or simply share your story, every contribution helps to raise awareness and hold irresponsible drivers accountable for their actions. Join us in our mission to make South African roads safer for everyone. Together, we can turn frustration into action and pave the way for a more responsible driving culture. So, the next time you encounter reckless behavior on the road, remember: you have a voice, and Roadhogs is here to help you use it.
